Ad-Aware by Lavasoft is a free spyware detector and malware removal tool for Windows. It performs real-time protection, a rootkit removal system, e-mail scanning, automatic updates, and much more to ensure a proactive protection while online or offline.
Ad-Aware works quietly in the background, but watches closely to instantly block spyware, Trojans, hijackers, etc. The scans can be customized and run manually. Also it automatically scans external devices when connection is detected.
This new version has improved threat detection and usability features; with Genotype detection Ad-Aware it is now possible to stay one step ahead of the newest threats by finding and blocking emerging malware that hasn’t yet been defined.
More new features include an Advanced Mode depending on the users' varying needs. Now the guard scan files can be also downloaded via Internet Browser; plus the new Do Not Disturb Mode to keep interruptions to a minimum for gamers and when in need of more system resources. |
