Ad-Aware helps you protect your PC from Trojans, spyware and malware. First, you can update Ad-Aware threat's database and schedule automatic web updates before scanning your PC. If you want to scan your PC, you can choose three different types of scanning: Smart, Full or Custom. The Smart Scan analyzes the critical parts of your system; the Full Scan analyzes the entire system including local drives; and the Custom Scan analyzes the system according toy your requirements. Once the scan is complete, Ad-Aware shows you a list of the items that have been detected. You should check that list and decide whether you want to ignore, eliminate o send to quarantine a file. Besides, if Ad-Aware detects a virus that cannot be removed, it offers you the option to repair it. The Scan Summary shows you information about the scan performed and the objects deleted, ignored or sent to quarantine. You can customize Ad-Aware to fit your needs in the Settings option. This option allows you to personalize start-up scans, safety options, language and user interface. |
